Quickly finds the right mix of two feeds to make a ration that meets the daily nutrient requirements of the animal. Uses the Pearson Square Algorithm to calculate results. Algorithm finds what percent of two feeds to add to reach a goal percent of a nutrient. If feed 1 has 10 percent of a nutrient and feed 2 has 30 percent and the goal is to have a 20 % mix of the nutrient you would just add an equal amount of feed 1 and 2. Thus if the idea is to give 100 units (lbs/kgs) of some weight to some farm animals you will see the calculation gives a weight to mix in of 50 for each feed.
